We invite you to enjoy the beauty of Geneva Lake under sail. Have you always wanted to try sailing, or, are you looking for a spur of the moment adventure? If so, the Geneva Lake Sailing School wants you to be our guest. 

 

GLSS will introduce a new Family Sailing Night Series in the summer of 2025. This course for families and couples will teach you the basics of sailing. We will start you with a comprehensive briefing and then our instructors will take you out sailing on the fleet of Sonar Keelboats. Successful completion of this course will empower you with the knowledge and confidence to safely and comfortably skipper boats. Start creating memories with your most likely sailing partners, your own family, and friends! 

 

We will also continue to offer a class specifically for ladies. The Women on Water is one of our most popular programs and it caters to beginners, intermediate and advancer sailors alike.

Do not forget about the three hour Private Lesson / Sailing Tour skippered by one of our experienced sailing instructors and the Keel-boat Certification program ran by US Sailing  trained instructors. Once you have the certification of you can provide a qualifying resume, you can book a Sonar Bare Boat Charter and go for a sail any day of the week.

Adult classes and tours are sailed aboard one of the four Geneva Lakes Sailing School’s Sonars. Designed with both the day sailor and one-design racer in mind, the 23 foot Sonar’s 900 lb. keel makes for a stable and dry ride, while delivering a well-balanced helm and race-worthy performance. With a mainsail, jib, and spinnaker, the Sonar is an ideal boat for cruising and lessons. The comfortable sit-in cockpit, with angled backrest provides a sense of security for small children and those who are a bit reluctant near the water.
