Youth Reachers is a course for intermediate to advanced sailors. The classes run Monday - Friday 12:30pm- 3:30pm. We use Open Bics, 420s, Sonars and windsurfers to switch things up everyday! This summer for the first time we will also introduce Wing Sailing as a new exciting activity for the campers.

The Reachers bring together different types of sailors into one class to broaden their sailing skills and experiences. The instructors make program adjustments every day and keep things exciting! Reachers have special traditions which we have held throughout the years including BUT not limited to: sailing to "rock island", playing sailing jeopardy and giving out framed photos on graduation!

The Reachers half day format allows Opti LTR and Race Team members to join our class. This creates a great environment in which the more experienced sailors can help or demonstrate advanced techniques to the other Reachers. The goal is to make sure the kids are both learning how to sail better and having a great time in the process!

Due to challenging regatta schedule at the GLSS this summer we will be offering one week programs in July and August this summer.  The sailors are welcome to join in as many session as as they want.
